After breakfast, we will visit the capital of Jordan, Amman. Once named Philadelphia, it originally spreaded over 7 hills likes Rome. Antiquity and modernism meet here, where you will visit ruins of Assyrians, Babylonians, Ammonites and Romans. We will leave Amman heading to Madaba. You will visit the Greek Orthodox Church St. George, where you will see the masterpiece of Madaba (a Byzantine mosaic map that goes back to the 6th century, showing Jerusalem and other holy sites). We will then go to Mt. Nebo, which is believed to be the place where Moses was buried, and is considered to be one of the most important holy sites in Jordan. Ruins of the 4th and 6th Century with marvelous mosaics adorning the grounds of the church are still visible. Then we will go to the Dead Sea, this unique spot lies on a remarkable landscape 400 meters below sea level. It can be considered as the World's biggest spa. In this serene atmosphere, you can sunbathe, relax, and swim in the overlapping waters and be amazed that you cannot sink! One of the must do things in the Dead Sea is to enjoy the therapeutic benefits that the Dead Sea can offer. Many treatments can be provided that have healing powers for many kinds of skin diseases. We will end the tour by returning to Amman for dinner and overnight.
