Early morning we will start our day by heading to Madaba. You will visit the Greek Orthodox Church St. George, where you will see the masterpiece of Madaba (a Byzantine mosaic map that goes back to the 6th century, showing Jerusalem and other holy sites). We will then head to Mt. Nebo, which is believed to be the place where Moses was buried, and is considered to be one of the most important holy sites in Jordan. Ruins of the 4th and 6th Century with marvelous mosaics on the floor are still visible. Our next destination would be the Dead Sea. This unique spot lies on a remarkable landscape 400 meters below sea level. In this serene atmosphere, you can sunbathe, relax, and swim in the overlapping waters and be amazed that you cannot sink! By the end of the day, you will return to Amman for dinner and overnight. (Optional dinner at Kan Zaman).
