After breakfast, we will leave Amman heading to Petra via Madaba. You will visit the Greek Orthodox Church St. George, where you will see the masterpiece of Madaba (a Byzantine mosaic map that goes back to the 6th century, showing Jerusalem and other holy sites). We will then go to Mt. Nebo, which is believed to be the place where Moses was buried, and is considered to be one of the most important holy sites in Jordan. Ruins of the 4th and 6th Century with marvelous mosaics adorning the grounds of the church are still visible. After Madaba, we will continue our journey to the city of Kerak, where we will visit the Crusader's Castle, and get to know the architectural military brilliance of the Crusaders. After lunch in Kerak, we will continue to Dana (a small village nestled at the foot of a cliff with a view of Wadi Dana). Afterwards, we will then move to Shobak to inspect the massive Crusader's fortress, after that we will head to Petra for dinner and overnight.
